After Rashmika, Nani complains about media-led distortions

Recently, in a video clip announcing the return of the 'Bheeshma' combo, Rashmika Mandanna was heard pointing out that whatever she says gives rise to controversies these days. She was alluding to the media's tendency to twist her comments. It happened last year when she stated that she hadn't watched 'Kantara'. It also happened when she used the phrase 'a certain production house' with reference to the makers of her first breakout Kannada movie, 'Kirrik Party'.
And now, it is Nani's turn to complain. Speaking to a daily, the Natural Star said that his comments have been distorted wilfully lately. "I recently commented that director Sukumar was popular in Telugu but not in other languages before the release of 'Pushpa: The Rise'. I made the remarks in support of our new director, Srikanth Odela, who is unknown now but who I am confident will become famous after the release of 'Dasara'. Such innocuous comments were twisted out of proportion to rake up a controversy," the 'Ante Sundaraniki' actor remarked.
'Dasara', starring Keerthy Suresh and Dheekshith Shetty in key roles, will hit the screens on March 30 (Thursday).
