The rape of a 6-year-old girl from Hyderabad has shaken the conscience of our society. Several celebs have started expressing their anguish over the brutality. In his tweet, Mahesh Babu lamented that the heinous crime is a reminder of how far we have fallen as a society. He asked whether the question of our daughters' safety will continue to be a lingering one. Adding that the crime is absolutely gut-wrenching, the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' star wrote that he cannot imagine what the family of the victim must be going through. Earlier, Manchu Manoj spoke to the media very emotionally about the issue, calling for justice as his eyes welled up.

On Wednesday, taking to Twitter, Nani said that the accused is supposed to be in jail, not roaming free. In his style, the 'Tuck Jagadish' and 'Shyam Singha Roy' actor was brief and effective. Several other celebs are expected to join the people in demanding fast-tracked justice for the victim.
The Hyderabad police have declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for those who give information on the absconding accused, named Pallakonda Raju. He is 30 and has a tattoo on his hand as 'Mounika'.
