The producers council strike is turning grim withg no film shootings conducted save a few with permissions. Keeping this in mind, Vishal had already met with Kamal Haasan earlier and the duo seemed to have discussed on the same. Vishal has now opined that he will meet with Rajinikanth as well.
Producers, theatre owners and distributors gathered for a meeting yesterday following which Vishal talked to presspersons . Stating that they have placed their demands, Vishal also pointed out their situation as to being not able to pay VPF charges and also about the online ticket booking charges as well. He also let out that a meeting would be conducted once again in a couple of days.
Further Vishal also stated that the present strike is for the welfare of cinema, so that shootings and other production works could be carried out sans hassles post the strike. Bringing out an analogy that film producers are similar to farmers as even they are pushed to the brink of suicides, he hoped that there is a possible chance that VPF might be banished with.
Opining that he would meet with Rajinikanth to explainteh situation, Vishal also said that the strike would come to an end if theatre owners steeped up talks with QUBE to consider the demands set by producers council.
