Of late Mohit Suri’s upcoming thriller ‘Ek Villain’ was passed by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with U/A certificate; but not before clearing certain editing. The film’s makers had to make few changes in its content - which included eight cuts in all. The Board asked the editing team to tone down some action sequences; among which they felt couple of scenes were too gory and one where a girl is threatened. Next they wanted to mute the word ‘Hazaam’ (read Barber in Hindi) lest it might hurt the sentiments of that community.

Incidentally, in 2009, during the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Billu Barber’, the film attracted protests from the Barber community who were upset with the usage of the word ‘Barber’ in the title.
