Even as the FEFSI has withdrawn its strike and the employees belonging to all the 23 unions affiliated to FEFSI return to film shooting work from today, the tripartite talks between FEFSI, Tamil Film Producers Council and the Tamil Nadu Government's Labour Department official will be conducted as announced that is by 4 PM today (August 4, 2017). Both FEFSI and TFPC have accepted to participate in the talks without laying any preconditions.

However on Thursday soon after FEFSi withdrew its strike. the TFPC announced that there will be no change in its initial stand regarding the matters of contention.

In a statement the Film Producers body reiterated that it will continue employing workers who subscribe to their norms of wages irrespective of whether they belong to FEFSI or not.

It also asserts that no one can force the Producers to employ only the workers belonging to any of the unions of the FEFSI.
