'Ek Tha Tiger' run has almost come to an end and with near 200 crores coming in just from India, the film is now the second highest money spinner after '3 Idiots'.
Meanwhile the film's director Kabir Khan has moved on and is already in the process of finalising the film that he wishes to make next. As per indications, he may either continue with a thriller genre or make an out and out love story.
However what is almost sure is that he is more or less done with political tales and would be taking a break from stories that have such an angle to them.
"Both 'Kabul Express' and 'New York' had very strong political undertone to them though they were more international than 'desi'. For 'Ek Tha Tiger' he touched upon the working of RAW but that's about it.
However for his next, he is looking at a story which doesn't really include political ingredients", says a close associate of the director.
Since he has already been signed by Sajid Nadiadwala to make a film, earlier there were talks of 'Kick' being the chosen one.
However with Nadiadwala himself picking up the Salman Khan starrer, Kabir would be working on an altogether different film, an announcement around which is just round the corner.
"Yes, my next film won't necessarily have a political angle to it, though it could be a love story or a thriller. Having said that it would have a real backdrop to it since I just cannot develop a story in a lala-land or a vacuum", says Kabir.
Since Sajid Nadiadwala has already roped in Hrithik Roshan, one waits to see whether the actor fills in this 'vacuum' for Kabir Khan's next
