Bollywood has given us a lot of sports based biopics recently. 'Dhoni: An untold story' and 'Sachin :A billion dreams' portrayed two of India's cricketing legends in the big screen.
Following this, director Susanta Das will direct the first biopic based on women's cricket titled 'Chakdaha Express'. The film will be based on Jhulan Goswami, the tall and lanky Indian women cricket team's all-rounder. The film will depict the journey of the cricketer from her hometown Nadia in West Bengal to Lord's in England where India missed the world cup by a whisker.
Director Susanta Das expounds that the Hindi biopic will trace the cricketer's life from the age of ten and will inspire youngsters to chase their dreams. The film's team which will shortly begin scripting has quipped that shooting would begin in April next year.
The film seems to have piqued the interests of sporting legends already as Australian cricket team's former captain Michael Clarke congratulated Jhulan Goswami on his Twitter.
