Till a couple of years back, 'Cocktail' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' were two of the most watched Bollywood exports in Romania. Now the country would soon have some 'English' company for itself. 'English Vinglish', which had released in India exactly two years back (on 5th October) and has been finding audience internationally too ever since then, would now be finding a good commercial release in Romania.

The film would hit approximately 15 screens on 24th October and the makers (Eros) are confident that just like other countries globally, even Romania would give the film a warm welcome.

Confirms an official from the production house, "The film has performed exceptionally well in other new markets like South Korea, Hong Kong, Germany and Taiwan too. We are confident of its continued appreciation in new territories like Romania as well."

Directed by Gauri Shinde, the film fascinated audiences worldwide with its universal subject of people who are living abroad in an English world and are trying hard to learn English in order to be accepted by their society.

"Such is the universal theme of the film that recently even in a country like Japan, the film turned out to be a roaring success recently by garnering over $1.4 million," the official added.

Gleams Boney Kapoor, "It is always a proud moment for me when the film continues to fetch so much appreciation for Sridevi. It is a landmark film for her and she deserves all the acclaim that she is fetching internationally. Guess the world can't have enough of 'English Vinglish'; it is continuing to embrace it with all the love."

True indeed, and now one eagerly awaits the response that Romanians would lend to Sridevi and her 'English Vinglish'.
