Earlier today, Nandamuri Balakrishna and other members of the Nandamuri family held a presser to criticize the obnoxious remarks against Nara Bhuvaneswari, the wife of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Speaking on the occasion, the 'Akhanda' actor said that the family will stand united if personal remarks are made against any woman of the Nandamuri family. He spoke against the ruling YCP.
Later, Nandamuri Kalyanram issued a statement, saying that the Assembly is a place where the problems facing the State have to be discussed. He added that there should be no place for personal remarks, especially against women, in such a place. "An Assembly is where intellectuals and public representatives sit together and discuss the welfare of the people. It's unfortunate that, instead of real issues, a woman was insulted (by its members)," Kalyanram tweeted, without taking the names of any YCP leader.
He also quoted a Sanskrit verse that says that divinity blossoms where women are worshipped. "Wherever they are not worshipped, all actions result in failure," Kalyanram added.
