Aftab Shivdasani has a film of his releasing after a gap of more than a year. However before audience steps into theaters, he has a word of caution for his audience here. He doesn't want them to believe that his 'Bin Bulaye Baarati' is yet another 'Band Baajaa Baaraat'. Instead, he further re-emphasises on the fact that the film has nothing to do with weddings at all.
"Please allow me to make it clear that the title 'Bin Bulaye Baarati' is more symbolic than literal," says Aftab who was last seen in 'Aao Wish Karein' (2009), "You know when cops knock at your door, you end up exclaiming that they are 'bin bulaye baarati'. It is that connotation here as I along with others in the film dress up as cops and take refuge in a village, hence turning into 'bin bulaye baaratis'!"
Aftab also claims that the film follows the basic 'sur' of comedy and doesn't deviate from it right through the two hours that follow.
"You won't find drama or any unnecessary deviation from the comic track," assures Aftab, "There is not even an iota of forced emotion in the film. There is no 'rona dhona' or melodrama at all. It is pure unadulterated laughter with lots of songs, dances and other masala ingredients to make it a 'masala' fare."
With Priyanka Kothari as the leading lady and Shweta Tiwari, Mallika Sherawat, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra and Shakti Kapoor joining the cast, 'Bin Bulaye Baarati' releases all over this Friday.
