It was on September 11 that Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani came to know that he was suffering from COVID-19. The news is that, less than 20 days later, he has recovered from it and has tested negative. He underwent treatment at home.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 42-year-old actor thanked everyone for their good wishes. "Please know that this illness is very treatable and less than 20% are severe and need hospitalization. Most people recover with medication at home. So, please don't panic even if you contract the infection, unfortunately," Aftab said.
He requested everyone to maintain social distancing and wear masks without fail. "Using sanitizers until the pandemic is over, is important," he added.
The actor is believed to have contracted the virus after wrapping up the shoot of his debut series web-series. Now that he has tested negative, Aftab will be traveling to London to be with his family.
