Actor Aftab Shivdasani has sustained an injury thanks to a horse. And now he needs to undergo remedial surgery.

On location for Subhash Ghai's production of "Shaadi Se Pehle", Aftab had the nasty run-in with the rather moody horse.

"Believe me, I wasn't horsing around. I was just doing my job as best as I could. Suddenly the horse baulked. I tore a muscle in my lower stomach. I guess a torn muscle is a bit serious. The doctors say I've a hernia. So I've to get operated. I'm in pain. But I'll have to continue shooting. Or the schedule will suffer. One of the hazards of this profession."

Horses and stars have never been the best of friends. Many years ago, the handsome actor Surendra fell off a horse and died. And Christopher Reeve never survived his nasty fall from a horse.
