Amidst girls from Mumbai and Kerala holding their flag high, a Tamil girl with Afghan background is making her debut in Kollywood.

For those to whom Afghanistan conjures up images of bearded Al-Qaeda ultras, the new girl, Megha Khan, looking ravishing and attractive, will henceforth lead to images of buxom beauties.

This oomph girl Megha Khan is playing the lead role in 6.2 opposite Sathyaraj. Megha's Afghan connection is that his father was from there.

She says "I was born in Tiruchy and my father belonged to Afghanistan. Since my family shifted to Mumbai few years ago, I had to undergo my schooling in Mumbai".

On her entry to Tamil filmdom, Megha Khan, says, "I was in to modeling in Mumbai when the director of 6.2 happened to see my photographs. I was immediately offered the role.

Though I was hesitant initially to accept the offer, people around me spoke eloquently about Tamil film industry that made me accept the offer'.

An ardent fan of Kamal Haasan, the actress says, "I also admire actor Vikram for his versatile roles".
