Looks like a busy weekend is ahead for all Malayalam Cinema lovers. Three movies, which were initially slated to hit the big screens earlier this month and then postponed due to the unparallel craze for Baahubali 2 in Kerala theatres, are locking horns today.
Achayans - Director Kannan Thamarakulam's Achayans starring Jayaram, Unni Mukundan and Sanju Sivaram in the lead hits the big screens today. As the number of theatres available for release was less due to the epic film Baahubali 2, the team pushed the release date from May 12th to May 19th. The much-awaited multi-starrer also has Prakash Raj, Adil Ibrahim, Amala Paul and Anu Sithara, playing prominent roles.
Godha - Set against the backdrop of wrestling, Godha has Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles. Godha has been in the news ever since Tovino's beefed up avatar for the movie went viral on social media. Directed by Basil Joseph, the movie is touted to be a family entertainer that also has Renji Panicker in an important role.
Adventures of Omanakuttan - After a series of delays owing to various reasons, the Asif Ali-Bhavana starrer 'Adventures of Omanakuttan' is all set to hit the bigscreens today. Directed by Rohith V.S, this romantic comedy is about Omanakuttan, a customer care centre employee and Pallavi, a dancer, whose path criss-cross and amusing instances follow. The movie has Aju Varghese, Siddique, Saiju Kurup, Kalabhavan Shajon, Rahul Madhav, Srinda Arhaan and Vaisakh Paruthipatta in pivotal roles. As the teaser and posters of the movie garnered the attention of film buffs in a big way, the expectation from the movie is sky high.
Let's wait and watch which film wins the race. Stay tuned to Indiaglitz!
