Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has watched the latest Bollywood release 'Shikara' and got emotional after its screening. The film deals with the journey of a couple after they are hunted out of Kashmir by jihadis.

The video clip of Advani having tears in the auditorium is going viral. Since he is a refugee from Pakistan, he seems to have got emotionally connected with the film.

Critics are saying that it's ironic that Advani has got emotional. Says journalist Shekhar Gupta said, "Touching, Advani sobbing at 'Shikara'. Please remind him that VP Singh was in power then (when terrorists ousted Hindus), propped by BJP. He didn’t pull it down over Kashmiri Pandits. He was setting up his rath yatra and pulled down VP Singh later over Ayodhya. Way more useful politically than the plight of Pandits."

Anand Ranganathan has an issue with the movie. "Why has the tagline of #Shikara been changed from 'The Untold Story of Kashmiri Pandits' to 'A Timeless Love Story in the Worst of Times'?" he asks.
