ADMK Election Manifesto released!

As DMK announced their election manifesto today, ADMK also followed suit as they announced their election manifesto. Political analysts have opined that the manifestos of both DMK and ADMK look similar, with features like NEET exam cancellation, waiver of loans, release of the 7 imprisoned in Rajiv Gandhi case being some of the common points.

ADMK has allied with BJP and PMK for the election, and the list of constituencies and candidates contesting the elections was announced on Sunday, following which the manifesto has been released today.

Here are the highlights of the ADMK Lok Sabha elections 2019 Manifesto:

* Under Amma national poverty eradication scheme, a monthly incentive of Rs 1500 will be given.

* Under MGR National employment skills development scheme training will be imparted for securing jobs in India and abroad.

* Emphasis on waiver of educational loans.

* Efforts will be made to move education from concurrent list to state list.

* New schemes to help ease the pressure of agricultural loans.

* Steps to persuade central government to take measures for Interlinking of Cauvery and Godavari rivers.

* Make use of the water getting wasted into the sea, during famines.

* Release of the 7 convicts in Rajiv Gandhi murder case.

* Emphasize conversion of union territory Pondicherry into a separate state.

* Water management scheme to help areas with water scarcity.

* Measures to ensure Caste based reservation irrespective of conversion to another religion.

* Efforts for formation of International commission to enquire the Sri Lankan genocide.

* Efforts to make Tamil the official language in central government offices in Tamil Nadu.

* Formation of a national level skill management center for youth.

* Announcement of Cauvery Delta areas as Agri Zone to protect them.

* Reservation in private sector for tribals and backward classes.

* Check dams and ground water preservation plans for utilization of monsoon rains in Western ghats.
