Actor Adivi Sesh is currently on a promotional tour for his soon to be released film 'Major'. As a unique marketing strategy, he has been attending the special screenings of his film in various cities throughout the country and recently, 312 commandos of the elite National Security Guard and their families watched the film during a special screening in Mumbai. Post the screening, Adivi was awarded an honorary medal by NSG which he considers an even bigger award than the Oscars.
Adivi Sesh told IANS, “We showed the film to the National Security Guard in Mumbai where 312 commandos and their families watched the film. When the film ended there was complete silence, they asked me to come to their headquarters and when I got there, they gave me this medal on behalf of the Black Cat Commandos. This to me is bigger than any Oscar . So I believe we have a winner with Major.”
Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, 'Major' is set to release theatrically on 3rd of June in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.
