It's known that Adivi Sesh is doing a film titled 'Major'. A multi-lingual flick co-produced by Mahesh Babu, this one has the 'Evaru' actor in the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a 26/11 martyr. Marking the 11th anniversary of the ghastly Mumbai Attacks, Sesh today penned a heart-felt message by beginning his letter with the question: What does it mean to be a patriot?
Writes the 'Goodachari' and 'Kshanam' actor, "Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was the opposite of what one may expect of such a decorated war hero. Where one expects seriousness, he was full of life and laughter. Where one expects patriotic speeches, he simply used to get things done with a smile. As I embark on this journey of playing the man himself in this film, MAJOR, I can safely say that his parents are like my parents. I try, not without failure, to make his heart my own. To smile like him. To walk like him. I know I can never be him. If only I could capture the essence."
He adds, "The 26/11 attacks may have claimed him, but his life has taught me more. I hope that shines through in our film."
The film will hit the screens in 2020.
