Aditya Roy Kapur turns lucky. After making a superhit impression with his last film ‘Aashiqui 2’, the young actor has bagged a chance to romance, B-Town’s hottest A-List actress Katrina Kaif. And the film in question is Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’. Only recently news had been out that Sushant Singh Rajput who was earlier signed for this project, dropped out citing date issues.

And now according to Disney UTV’s latest announcement, they have roped in Aditya for the lead role. Confirming the development, Rucha Pathak, Senior Creative Director - Studios, Disney UTV added, "Abhishek Kapoor was looking for a perfect cast for his timeless love story Fitoor and we're glad that he has found them in Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif."

"As a filmmaker, I have always invested in new and emerging talent and with his talent and persona, Aditya Roy Kapur is right up there. I'm delighted to have him on board," said director Abhishek Kapoor.

‘Fitoor’ will go on the floors in the first half of 2014. The film is a screen adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations and will see Aditya Roy Kapur playing ‘Pip’ and Katrina Kaif as ‘Estella'. The pivotal role of 'Miss Havisham' is currently being cast and an announcement on the same is expected soon.
