Following widespread agitations against the screening of 'Arya-2' in the Telangana region, the producer Aditya Babu said that he was withdrawing the film from the region and will release it only later.

Writing to the media, he stated, Due to the critical situation in Telangana, we are withdrawing our film from Friday in all the theatres in the region. We will soon let you know the re-release date.

The film has been facing severe problems for the past two weeks with violent agitators ransacking some theatres screening it. The business of the film got dented after some theatre managements voluntarily suspended it out of fear of backlash or in agitation over the United Andhra stand taken by Chiranjeevi.

Released on Nov 26, the film opened to good collections in the region, but has been facing problems ever since.
