Director Mani Ratnam has completed the first schedule of shoot for his upcoming film 'Kaatru Veliyidai' in Ooty. Now the second schedule has begun in Chennai.

Right from the word go of the project it is being speculated that the lead hero Karthi plays a pilot and heroine is a doctor in this film. The hero being pilot was confirmed by the fact that Karthi underwent training and toned his physique to act as a pilot in this film.

Now we have the confirmation about the female lead's character also. As speculated Aditi Rao Hyadari plays a doctor in this film. Sources reveal that recently Mani Ratnam shot a scene in which Karthi gets treated in the hospital by Aditi who plays a doctor in the film.

'Kaatru Veliyidai' stars RJ Balaji, Shradha Srinath, Vipin Sharma, Delhi Ganesh and many others. A.R.Rahman is rendering the musical score for this film which will have Ravi Varman's cinematography.
