First of all,you need to know what is Kimbho. No, it’s not a peculiar and rare variety of a tribal dish. It’s the competition to the world’s most renowned messaging service WhatsApp. It has everything that teh Facebook owned messaging app has, but Kimbho is ‘desi’ which is being backed by yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali group.
But who is the brains behind this app? It is Aditi Kamal whose resume has some big names such as Google, Yahoo and Oracle as well. The word is that Aditi always wanted to create a Indian chatting platform and she got to do it with Patanjali’s initiative.
Aditi also has an MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. Aditi approached Patanjali with the app’s idea and it was accepted readily by the company. The app lets one have updates from Acharya Balkrishna Baba Ramdev. An additional feature is the ghost messaging which lets one delete chats after being read.
The buzz is that the app will be live on June 21 in tandem with International Yoga Day. It is also worth mentioning here that when the app’s beta version was released, the app immediately received thousands of downloads causing heavy traffic. Patanjali is in the process of upgrading their servers and make the app live.
