Presently a part of Anjali-starrer Ananda Bhairavi and Amala Paul’s forensic thriller, actor Adith Arun has also signed another film, the shoot of which is 70 per cent complete. Titled Thagithe Thandana with a caption ‘drink and think’, the film also features Madhunandan and Saptagiri in central roles and marks the directorial debut of Srinath, who is associated with the writing of Naveen Chandra and Nivetha Thomas-starrer Juliet- Lover of Romeo.
A Hyderabad-set madcap comedy, Thagithe Thandana tells the story of three youngsters (played by Adith, Saptagiri and Madhu) who are frustrated with their boss and the chain of events their stress leads to. The lead characters are etched in a way that local youth can resonate with and the director is banking on this aspect to do the trick for him, it is learnt. It’s out-and-out situational comedy and is devoid of any adult stuff. Srinath is planning to wrap up the remaining shoot in the next two months with a 10-day outing in Hyderabad.
Model-dancer Simran Gupta, who was seen in a song in Vijay-starrer Sarkar, is making her Telugu debut with the project, while Anil, an entrepreneur, is producing the film under Right Turn Productions.
