'Adirindhi' will be a grand release: Sharrath Marar

It's known that 'Mersal' ('Adirindhi' in Telugu) has become the third South Indian film after 'Baahubali-2' and 'Kabali' that is going to be screened at the prestigious Le Grand Rex, Paris. Made at a cost of Rs. 100 cr, the film will have a huge release in the US, London, Dubai, Canada and Malaysia, among others.
Sharrath Marar of 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh and 'Katamarayudu' fame is the producer of the Telugu version. The recently-released Teaser of 'Adirindhi' has garnered 1.5 million views.
The film has been confirmed for a grand Oct 18th release.
Murali Ramaswamy of Sri Thenandal Films is happy to be releasing the movie in Telugu in association with Sharrath Marar.
Sharrath says, "We are going to release the movie in a grand way. With this film, Vijay's market in the Telugu States is going to go up. This is going to be a landmark movie for the distributors, who are keeping a great interest in this Atlee-directed movie. The film has now achieved a milestone by having the distinction of being played at Le Grand Rex.
K Vijayendra Prasad of 'Baahubali' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' has penned the story. He has also penned the screenplay in association with Ramana Girivasan. Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha, Nithya Menon and SJ Suryah will be seen in key roles. Vadivelu, Kovai Sarala, Sathyan and Sathyaraj will be seen in other roles. The film was extensively shot in India and Europe.
Music is by AR Rahman. The cinematography is by JK Vishnu. Lyrics are by Vivek. Editing is by Rubens. Action choreography is by Anil Arasu. Dance choreography is by Sobhi.
