'Adipurush': New release date announced

Om Raut-directed 'Adipurush' will not be hitting the screens on August 11 this year. The mythological epic action film, starring Prabhas as Lord Rama will be released for Sankranthi 2023.

Touted to be a visual wonder, the film will hit the screens on 12th January, 2023 in 3D.

The postponement of the film came recently in the wake of Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' choosing August 11, the original release date of the Prabhas movie. Prabhas will be opening 2023 with a bang.

Kriti Sanon has played Sita in the movie. Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Ravana in the movie. Sachet and Parampara Tandon of 'Kabir Singh' fame have been roped in for the prestigious pan-India venture. The VFX-heavy movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, besides Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.
