Looks like the makers of 'Adipurush' want to introduce to the young generation a range of devotional vocabulary and rightly so. They released a pious mantra-type material on Hanuman Jayanthi recently. And, today, a short song titled 'Jai Shri Ram' was released. Its Telugu lyrics have been penned by Ramajogayya Sastry. The lyrics are an ode to the unprecedented devotional history embodied by Lord Hanuman, played by Devdatta Nage in the film.
"If you can't visit the Char Dhaam. Just chant the name of Prabhu Shri Ram. Jai Shri Ram (sic)," director Om Raut tweeted, sharing the song. Up next, a couple more songs are expected to be out. May is when the film's promotional gigs will be pan-Indian in nature.
Starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Janaki aka Sita, Sunny Singh as Sesha aka Lakshmana, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, the film's latest song is out in five languages. The song is said to be the film's theme lyrical.
The VFX-heavy 3D and IMAX movie is slated to hit the screens on June 16.
