Adi Kapyare Kootamani Review

An intriguing tale told with humourous situations and dialogues has worked well for 'Adi Kappiyare Kootamani'. Plot wise the movie does not offer much, as there is no gripping plot or a climax. This seems one movie made for laughs as the events in them are depicted as only a means to the end. A girl's entry into a men's hostel is sure interesting. But why she does it is all hastily put up. The beginning and ending is not something that offers anything. But the middle part is rich with humour which ultimately makes the movie passable.

With Aju Varghese nad Neeraj Madhav performing neatly, the comic flavour has come out well. Dhyan is presented as a slow coach named Bhanuprasad. He strikes a deal with a girl who he meets in the canteen. She offers Bhanuprasad money to get her into the men's hostel. He accepts as he is short of money. Her intention as the movie progresses appears a bit lame.

The humour part is created in those sequences with the girl in the hostel. Bijukuttan, Mukesh along with the others also adds to the lol moments. As is evident in the songs and trailer, 'Adi Kappiyare Kootamani' is filled with moments of chaos. There is a lot of confusions and cat and mouse chase in the movie. But debutante director John Varghese has done well not to reduce it to mere slapstick. There is a lot of dialogue humour which has come out well.

In its presentation, 'Adi Kappiyare Kootamani; impresses and holds your attention. The Remo- Bruno combination is laugh inducing. This movie is sure to inspire future trolls and comments with its dialogues. The makers have tried to bring in different things for the movie. There was this single shot sequence which they have tried to good effect.

Performance wise, Dhyan was a bit awkward in places and overdoes the dumb act here and there. Namitha has delivered consistently. The frames used in each shots are pretty good and the cinematographer has done a neat job. Some of the songs are catchy and will stick around with the youth. Though there are obvious lacks, 'Adi Kappiyare Kootamani' rings a pretty bell and is an entertaining watch.
