The audio of 'Adhurs' is one of the good ones to watch out for among the current crop of musical releases in the market. Scored by Devi Sri Prasad, the audio has in total five songs. If there are Hindi film singers like Baba Sehgal and Hariharan, there is a song by NTR Junior himself. Though, all in all, the album sounds routine, it will definitely be liked by Devi's fans. Shambo Shiva Shambo This is the best one of the album. If Devi's rendition is pretty good, so also Chandrabose's lyrics that turn philosophical at times. This one favours repeat listening. Devi is at his best here, with instruments pitching high. Chandrakala Hariharan croons a melody after a long time in Telugu. But, it does not match with any of his pieces with Mani Sharma in the past. However, here too, the Devi effect overtakes soon and you won't be able to enjoy the melodious effect. Pilla Naa Valla Kadu Milka Singh and Suchitra vie for the singing space. The song sounds average. Music is nothing fresh. It sounds that it has already been heard. Chandrabose's lyrics fare so-so. Chary This seems to be coming at a time when the second avatar of NTR entes in the film. NTR sings his first song and tries to scrape through the effort. Not up-to-the-mark. Lyrics are by Rama Jhogaya Sastry, again. Neethone Sung by Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghosal, the song sounds cliched. A routine number, even Kulasekhar's pen doesn't make it peppy. Looks like Devi did not do his homework too well. Assalam Valekhum: Rendered by Baba Sehgal and Priya Hemesh, the song is a typical Devi song. It has Sehgal humming gushingly Assalam Valekhum, the famous religious greeting, and you end up imaginingNTR in the song. Baba's unique voice saves the song. Rama Jogayya Sastry has written the song. Shambo Shiva Shambo (Remix) The 'remix' version is equally good. It has good employment of musical instruments and is crooned by Devi again. The DSP mix sinks well. |
