NTR-starrer has reportedly collected a whopping Rs. 25 cr. in the first week of it release. The movie was released on the 13th of this month. The figures, as indicated by box office reports, speak volumes about the popularity and craze generated by the movie.
Directed by VV Vinayak, the movie released to good expectations. Though initially it invited a comment that its subject was old pickle, the treatment, NTR's priest role and songs seem to have worked in favour of the film.
Of course, its comedy track, involving the ever-green Brahmanandam and the Junior made the audience laugh without a break.
At a time when comedy is viewed as an important ingredient in our cinema, the film banked on the comic timing of a star known for his mass roles, to win at the BO.
The film boasts of action sequences in lavish sets, though they are routinely choreographed. In fact, if the story had little dhum in it, the film would have shook the box office in a bigger way.
