While the Ravichandran-Kanchana starrer 'Adhey Kangal' that released in 1967 was a nail biting crime thriller, the new 'Adhey Kangal' seems to be a triangular love story that takes an unusual turn.
As revealed by the makers, the plot of the film is this: The hero Varun played by Kalaiyarasan is a chef. His close friend Sadhana is a journalist who falls in love with him. When she meets Varun's parents to convey her wish to marry him. Varun starts loving Deepa who works in a garment shop and Deepa reciprocates his feelings.
A sudden unusual incident changes their lives upside down. What happens next has been told in a thrilling manner.
Rohin Venkateshan, a former associate of director Vishnuvardhan has penned the story and screenplay and Mukhil has penned the dialogues. Ghibran has rendered the musical score. Ravivarman Neelamegam has handled the cinematography. Editing is by Leo John Paul. Lyrics have been penned by Uma Devi and Parvathy. Hari Dinesh has designed the stunt sequences.
The film has been shot in places like Kanyakumari and Erode. The final leg of post-production work is on. We can soon expect an announcement on the film's release date.
