Superstar Mahesh Babu's wax statue, sculpted by artiste Iwan Rees for Madame Tussauds, has got its launch date. It will be launched on March 25 at Hyderabad's AMB Cinemas. Mahesh himself will unveil it.
The wax idol is also set for inauguration at the prestigious Madame Tussauds, Singapore, later this Summer. When it's placed in Hyderabad, the actor's fans will have a chance to click selfies with the wax idol.
Speaking about the endeavour, Madame Tussauds' GM Alex Ward from Singapore says, "Mahesh is a superstar and we are honoured to partner with him. To finally add a Tollywood star to our attraction is an important step. We receive many Indian tourists from all over the country and our goal is to represent the best of Indian cinema."
"A bunch of skilled team from Madame Tussauds traveled to Hyderabad and over 200 measurements of Mahesh Babu were taken to ensure a truly authentic representation of the star. Superstar is all excited about his first wax figure at Madame Tussauds," a statement from Mahesh's team says. He spent four hours on giving the measurements.
