Young actor Adarsh Gourav gave a phenomenal performance as Balram Halwai in 'The White Tiger'. His work praised by one and all and the actor garnered global recognition. Adarsh even got nominated for a BAFTA award in the Best Actor category. His competitions were Sir Anthony Hopkins, Chadwick Boseman, Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed and Tahar Rahim. Adarsh lost the award to Sir Anthony Hopkins but he's isn't bummed out about it at all.
He said, "I feel this is my first international film and just being nominated alongside people like Sir Anthony Hopkins, Mads Mikkelsen, Chadwick Boseman. These people have been such a strong source of inspiration for me throughout my career. I feel a nomination is as good as a win for me."
For a youngster like him, getting nominated alongside someone like Hopkins should be an award in itself. Adarsh said, “I am really happy that Sir Anthony Hopkins won it for ‘The Father’. it is a brilliant film and he was magnificent in the film. I am just so happy that he won a BAFTA for the film."
