Adaikalam

After lying in the cans for over a year, finally Prashanth's Adaikalam would hit the screens this November.

It is expected that Adaikalam with its innovative storyline may do the trick for the actor.

Says debutant director Bhuvanaraja, 'When the movie was nearing completion, the producer was struck with his business commitments abroad. After a delay we managed to complete the movie. But when we planned for release, movies like Thavamai Thavamirundhu and Em Mahan got released. We felt those films had a resemblance to Adaikalam and hence we chose to postpone our plans'.

Asked about the movie, he says, 'It would be one to cherish in Prashanth's career. A touching tale of love and affection within a family, the movie features Uma in the role of Prashanth's sister. Interestingly Prashanth has no heroine in the movie'.

In other words, the film focuses on brother-sister sentiments. It is a kind of movie that Prashanth has not done in recent times. So it should help his career take wings again.

Uma is a talented actress and knows to add value to her scenes. Saranya, who is now a bankable screen mother will also provide the right emotional sparkle.

Sabesh - Murali scores the music and T.Anandakumar cranks the camera. Kalavathi Sri Narayanadass and Sri Narayanadass produce Adaikalam.

Bhuvanaraja, a former associate of K S Adhiyaman is optimistic about the movie's prospects at the box office. He says, 'A movie with good storyline never fails to attract the attention of masses. All the cast and crew have contributed their best. I hope the delay in release will not affect its prospects'.
