Popular actress Janani Iyer who shot to fame with Bala's 'Avan Ivan' later impressed in 'Thegidi' and 'Athey Kangal'. But her true claim to fame came after her stint in 'Bigg Boss 2 Tamil' in which she was hailed as the most popular contestant after title winner Riythvika.

Janani Iyer in a bold move has dropped her caste name and announced it on Twitter by changing her profile name and also posting a photo with the caption "Change is the only constant" and also the hashtag #BeTheChangeYouWantToSee.

Janani's decision has been welcomed with both hands by her fans and followers who have hailed her for setting an example for other youth also to follow and abolish discrimination in the name of castes.
