Young actress Yashika Aannand is being treated in ICU after suffering serious injuries and multiple fractures in a car accident she was involved on Sunday after midnight. Her close friend Valisetty Bhavani died on the spot while her male friends Sayed and Ameer have sustained relatively minor injuries.
The police have booked the 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu' actress under three sections including causing death due to negligence. There have been contradictory reports regarding CCTV footage of the accident while some sources saying police have retrieved them while others opining that the cameras in the area did not work.
However reports are suggesting that after a midnight party the actress, Bhavani and their male friends were travelling in the Mahaballipuram area and Yashika was at the wheels and was driving very fast but did not wear seat belts. Bhavani was said to be seated in front also not wearing belts while Sayed and Ameer were at the back and they too luckily had belts on.
The reports suggest that loud music was played inside the car and that the sunroof was open. Bhavani then apparently stood up and put her head out on the top of the car and was dancing to the songs. It is then said that Bhavani's dress was fluttering in the wind and unfortunately covered Yashika's face suddenly and that is when she lost control.
It is added that the momentary blindness was what caused Yashika to sverve the vehicle to avoid collision with other cars at over 140 kms speed and instead she hit the road median. It is further suggested that the impact then threw Valisetty Bhavani out of the roof window and she hit the road and died in a pool of blood while the vehicle toppled and rolled over a few times. It is pointed out that extensive damage to the Tata Harrier on the sides.
It is now said that Yashika has not been informed about the death of Bhavani yet due to her own serious condition. Social media users are lamenting that the risky behaviour of the youngsters has cost the life of one of them. Police are however investigating further to get to the exact facts.
