A Chengalpattu court on March 23rd issues an arrest warrant against young Tamil actress Yashika Aannand in a car accident case. The police have been ordered to take her into custody if she does not appear in person before the court on April 25th. This is in regards to a fatal 2021 car accident that the actress was involved in and she was required to appear in court on March 21st which she avoided.

On June 24th , 2021 Yashika Aannand was driving a car with her close buddy Valisetty Bhavani and two male friends on the Chennai to Mahabalipuram road. At around 11.30 pm the luxury car at full speed lost control and rammed into a divider and Valisetty Bhavani died on the spot after being thrown out of the vehicle from the open roof. Yashika and the other two passengers were severely injured.

Yashika Aannand received treatment for several months before she could get back to her two feet. She was booked under three sections including 3 Sections, including overspeeding and IPC Section 304 A (causing death by negligence). The 23 year old has since been active on social media but the reason for her not appearing in court is not known as of now.
