Famous actors Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul collaborated in the blockbuster hit thriller movie 'Ratchasan' released in 2018. After four years the duo are reuniting for a unique movie directed by the critically acclaimed female filmmaker Halitha Shameem of 'Poovarasan Peepe', 'Sillukarupatti' and 'Aeley' fame.

Halitha Shameem started making 'Minmini' in 2015 and completed half the film with children playing major roles. She has then waited for seven years and is now canning the remaining portions with the same actors who have now grown up. This method of filmmaking is pretty rare in the world with Hollywood director Richard Linklater filming 'Boyhood' from 2002 to 2013 capturing the growth of a boy.

'Minmini' has Gaurav Kalai, Pravin Kishore, and Esther Anil playing school kids who later become college students. It is not clear as of now what roles Amala Paul and Vishnu are playing.
