Actress Vijayalakshmi of 'Friends' and 'Boss Engira Bhaskaran' fame was afflicted by an illness which forced her to be hospitalized for several months in Bangalore. She had also lodged a complaint against actor Ravi Prakash for sexually harassing her under the guise of helping her in the hospital.

Vijayalakshmi has released a video message in which she has appealed to Superstar Rajinikanth to allow her to meet him and share her woes. She has stated that he is her last hope as she is undergoing unbearable sufferings through ill health as well as mental torture by unknown forces. Vijayalakshmi has emotionally revealed that she has no interest in living but is fighting her battles to take care of her mother and elder sister who are dependent on her.
