The film and television industry is in shock as it has been reported that a veteran actress who has gone missing was murdered by her own son and the police have started a search for the body.

Actress Veena Kapoor aged 74 is famous for her roles in 'Mitter Pyare Nu Haal Mureedan Da Kehna,' 'Dal: The Gang' and 'Bandhan Pheron Ke'. It is said that there was an ongoing property dispute with her son Sachin Kapoor who killed her.

She gave details of the crime "Just few blocks away from actor Jeetender's bungalow in Juhu is where this sad incident took place. At this posh Juhu locality a man killed his 74 year old mom with a baseball bat and later dumped her body in Matheran. Her US based son found a doubt and alerted the Juhu police. During the interrogation, he revealed to the cops that he killed his mother in a fit of rage after hitting a baseball bat multiple times on her head. He told them that there was a property dispute was going on among them due to which he committed the crime and dumped her body into a river near Matheran in Raigad district.

The police have also arrested Veena Kapoor's domestic helper Chhotu alias Lalu Kumar Mandal who aided in the murder and the disposal of the body. Several film and television celebrities have expressed shock on social media platforms on Veena Kapoor's shocking death at the hands of her own 43 year old son. RIP!
