Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who has carved a niche for herself as a versatile actress in Tamil cinema has now widened her horizons in Telugu as well where her work has been highly appreciated. Two of her recent films 'Krack' and 'Naandhi' have also been super hits raising her stock in Tollywood.

In a recent event at a private hospital for children Varu and her mother, Saaya participated as chief guests. At the press meet for the event a journo asked Varu when she is getting married which visibly put her off.

Varalaxmi then shot back at the pressperson that its a very ugly question to ask a woman and requested him and the others never to do so after this. She then told the gathering that like men women too have their ambitions and it is not some honor to get married.

In Tamil Varalaxmi's upcoming movies include 'Pamban', 'Chasing', 'Piranthal Parasakthi', 'Colors' and 'Yaanai'. Her debut movie as a director is also expected to go on floors in a few weeks time.
