In 2020 popular actress Vanitha Vijayakumar created a sensation when photos went viral on 27th June of her Christian wedding with unknown filmmaker Peter Paul. The alleged bride and groom even kissed each other in true western style in the presence of the guests. The first wife of Peter named Elisabeth and his son flung allegations that the wedding was illegal and they even lodged a police complaint against Vanitha who was summoned. Recently Peter Paul passed away due to ill health, and many media outlets reported him as Vanitha's third husband. The actress herself had posted in her Insta stories "I am sure you found the peace after battling the demons you were facing and the trauma you went through. As sad as I feel for you parting from this world, I know you are definitely in a better place and you finally found your peace, be happy wherever you are."

Earlier today Vanitha has denied ever being married to Peter Paul on Twitter saying "Ok after a lot of patience and thought wether to react or not.. I have no choice but to remind all media,press & news channels . With all due respects I was never legally married to late Peter Paul we were in a brief relationship in 2020 which ended the same year. "

She addd "I am not his wife and he is not my husband. Stop spreading news that my husband died. I am very much legally single and don’t have a HUSBAND and am not mourning any loss. I am currently very happy and lIving my life to the fullest.THIS IS A HUMBLE KIND REQUEST"
