Vanitha Vijayakumar, the yesteryear actress of 'Devi' fame, has opted for a third marriage. The Tamil-Telugu-Malayalam actress has been a single mother for years now, and is blessed with a son and two daughters from her previous marriages.

As per a statement issued by Vanitha, she fell in love with filmmaker Peter Paul years ago because the guy has always been of great emotional support to her. When he proposed to her, Vanitha was elated. Concealing her unmixed delight, she told him that he would need to get her daughters' approval to have her in marriage. The children are super happy about Peter.

Vanitha doesn't want to live her life "pleasing everyone around me". "For once, I have decided to live my life for myself and do what makes me happy," she has been quoted as saying by India Today.

The wedding will take place at Vanitha's Chennai residence on June 27. It will be a modest occasion in keeping with lockdown restrictions.

The daughter of veteran actors Vijayakumar and Manjula has two sisters - Preetha and Sridevi.
