The film industry is in total shock after news broke out that a famous young actress died tragically while traveling in a car with her future husband. Tributes are pouring in from all quarters. Vaibhavi Upadhyaya who gained fame after playing the lead role of 'Jasmine' in 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' was reportedly travelling on a holiday to Himachal Pradesh with her fiance Jay Gandhi.

It was reported that the couple were speeding and lost control and the vehicle fell into a valley. However later reports suggest that a truck collided with the vehicle and caused it to hurtle down the valley. While Vaibhavi lost her life on the spot Jay Gandhi escaped unhurt.

The 32 year old Vaibhavi Upadhyaya has impressed Bollywood fans with most of her bubbly performances in many serials such as 'CID' 'Adaalat', 'Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka' etc. She also acted with Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak' and the web series, ' Please Find Attached'.

'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' producer JD Matheja wrote an emotional Instagram post that reads “Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay, popularly known as 'Jasmine' of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, passed away. She met with an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for the last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic)," RIP!
