If Vijay Sethupathi's '96' can be termed as Trisha's comeback film then 'Ponniyin Selvan' has proved that she is here to stay and will give tough competition to the younger heroines. Her towering performance as the strong willed Chola princess Kundavai has wowed critics and audiences alike.
Trisha during a recent press interaction has stated that she has performed a few stunt sequences in the epic Mani Ratnam film and those will be a part of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' aka 'PS-2' releasin in Summer 2023. She also revealed that she sustained injuries to her shoulder and arm.
The evergreen heroine of Kollywood showered praises on her costars in the film. She recalled another incident when Sobhita Dhulipala who played the Kadambur princess Vaanathi, the love interest of Arunmozhi Varman whose ears started bleeding during a stunt.
Trisha's upcoming movies include 'Ram' with Mohan Lal and 'The Road' costarring Shabheer Kallarakkal and Santhosh Pratap. Her long delayed 'Sathuranga Vettai' costarring Arvind Swamy and written by H. Vinoth is also slated for release this year.
