Trisha to star in Rajinikanth's huge blockbuster hit sequel?

Trisha, the evergreen leading lady of South Indian cinema recently featured in the super hit movies '96' opposite Vijay Sethupathi and 'Petta' in which she paired with Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in her career. She is currently playing powerful roles in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan', Mohan Lal's 'Ram' and the female centric thriller 'The Road'.

The hot news coming in is that Trish has been approached to play the female lead in 'Chandramukhi 2' directed by P. Vasu in which Raghava Lawrence plays the lead role. The film is a sequel of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Chandramukhi' released in 2005 that ran for 800 days in Chennai and is one of the biggest blockbuster hit in his career. Rajini is not part of the film but he gave his blessings to the team.

Recently Lyca Productions announced that 'Chandramukhi 2' is back on track and confirmed the presence of Vadivelu and also the signing of M.M. Keeravani as the music director. The addition of Trisha will add more value to the project but it is still not clear whether she has signed the dotted lines or not.
