Trisha shot for a few days playing Irene the anglo Indian love interest of Dhanush but opted out due to date clashes with her other career-defining film 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and costarring Simbu.
Stills of Trisha as Irene in 'Aadukalam' along with Dhanush and other scenes have now gone viral and are trending on social media. It is to be noted that actress Shriya Saran was initially cast in the role even before Trisha and she also opted out.
Finally, Tapsee Pannu now celebrated as a pan Indian actress of substance played Irene in 'Aadukalam' and received critical acclaim. Well, movies are made that way aren't they?
