Tapsee Pannu one of the busiest actresses in pan Indian cinema is also very popular in Tamil having starred in hit movies such as 'Aadukalam', 'Aarambam', 'Kanchana 2' and 'Game Over'. She is also starring in two Tamil movies currently namely 'Jana Gana Mana' with Jayam Ravi and 'Annabelle Subramaniam' with Vijay Sethupathi.

The past couple of days Tapsee has come under the Income Tax Department scanner as raids on her properties are ongoing and it is said that discrepancies to the tune of rupees five crores has been detected. In the same case it is said that popular filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his associates are involved in tax evasion to the tune of rupees 650 Crores.

Tapsee is in a romantic relationship with international badminton player Mathias Boe who is currently coaching the Indian doubles team. He has posted a request to Sports Minister Kiren Rijju writing "Finding myself in a bit of turmoil. Representing Flag of India for the first time as a coach for some great athletes, meanwhile, I-T department is raiding Taapsee’s houses back home, putting unnecessary stress on her family, especially her parents. @KirenRijiju please do something".

It remains to be seen if the BJP minister can do anything about the tax issue and whether Tapsee who is alleged to have evaded tax to a tune of 25 Crores as per fresh reports will get off the hook. Earlier reports said that cash receipts of rupees five crores were found in the actress's properties.
