Many leading actresses in Tamil cinema have played the role of the goddess Amman right from KR Vijaya to Ramya Krishnan to Nayanthara and more often than not the films have turned out to be superhits.

Meanwhile leading actress Tamannaah has posted photos of herself eating food on a banana leaf dressed as Amman in her Instagram page. She has captioned it "I feel like a goddess when I eat on a banana leaf!It’s easy to find, and great for the environment too!Going back to the roots one step at a time!".

Tamannaah's goddess avatar has been recieved well by her fans who have showered more than four lakh likes inside of two hours and counting. It shows that netizens also are keen to adopt a return to natural style of living that the pretty actress is promoting.

Tamanaah's upcoming movies include 'Bola Shankar' opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi, 'Plan A Plan B' costarring Reitesh and 'Bole Chudiyan' with Nawazudding Siddiqui. She is in talks for a couple of Tamil movies and a webseries as well.
