Tabu is one of the evergreen heroines on Bollywood who has also graced the Tamil screens in a handful of movies and is a favorite of Thala Ajith fans after pairing up with him in 'Kandukondein Kandukondein'. Her other Kollywood credits include Mani Ratnam's 'Iruvar', Kathir's 'Kadhal Desam', Arjun's 'Thaayin Manikodi' and more recently 'David' in which she had many memorable scenes with Chiyaan Vikram.

In Bollywood of course Tabu continues to be a formidable force featuring in award-winning roles with the most recent being 'Andhadhun' in which she showed an evil side to such perfection. The stunning actress's latest is the six-part drama series 'A Suitable Boy' directed by Meera Nair and adapted from Vikram Seth's novel of the same name considered to be one of the longest in the English language.

The story of 'A Suitable Boy' is set in the 1950s and traces the life of a young girl Lata Mehra and her various suitors and the people she encounters from all wakes of life of that era. In drama series Tabu plays the role of the elderly Saeeda Bai, a courtesan and musician who has an affair with a much younger Maan Kapoor played by Ishaan Khatter.

Though in real life Tabu is 48 and Khatter 24 the liplock and the intimate shots is aesthetically shot and the veteran actress surely is as alluring as ever. The series will start streaming on BBC One from July 26th onwards.
