Actress Sreeja Chandran who hails from Kerala started her career as a child artiste in Malayalam films and later also starred in lead roles in Mollywood. However her big ticket to fame and in personal life came through the serial 'Saravanan Meenatchi' that aired on Vijay TV in 2011.

Sreeja played Meenatchi while R.J. Senthil portrayed the character of Saravanan in the most popular serial. The couple fell in love with each other during filming and got married in 2014. They later appeared together in 'Mappillai' which aired in 2016 and was also very popular.

Senthil and Sreeja announced that eight years after their marriage they are to become parents soon and asked fans to keep them in their prayers. The baby shower function pics have gone viral and the couple are flooded with congratulatory messages from celebrity friends and fans on social media.
